Massage is the systematic manual or mechanical manipulation of soft tissues of the body for therapeutic purposes. Massage helps relieve tension and stress, improves circulation and promotes healing.

Swedish massage refers to a collection of techniques designed primarily to relax muscles by applying pressure to them against deeper muscles and bones, and rubbing in the same direction as the flow of blood returning to the heart. Swedish massage uses five main strokes to stimulate the circulation of blood through the body; kneading, stroking, friction, tapping, and vibration. It affects all layers of the body by increasing circulation, reducing pain, promoting relaxation, as well as promoting a sense of well-being. Treatments can be 1 hour or 1-1/2 hours in length, and there are usually immediate results.
MYOFASCIAL RELEASE
Myofascial Release uses gentle pressure to correct soft tissue dysfunction. This is useful for back strain, carpal tunnel, chronic cervical strain, and fibromyalgia.
